Tall Trees Director - Ian Robinson

Ian Robinson has a passion to see Australians look afresh at Christian faith and connect with its vitality.

Ian is known to be someone who gives honour to God. He has a capacity to identify the strengths in persons and programmes, think them through biblically, make them understandable to others, pass on the story and inspire action.

He is also skilled in empowering, building networks and innovation in ministry. Tall Trees ReSource Inc comes out of that vision and his track record.

He has established several ministry groups, most recently, Spirit Journeys Australia (2005), and the Australian Research Institute for Desert Spirituality(2005),

  • He has authored-edited about fifteen works, including Gossiping the Gospel, Growing an Everyday Faith, New Beginnings, Stop Look and Listen, BUrning Hope, This THirsty Heart, If Anyone Thirsts. There are a lot of songs somewhere that he wrote too.

• He has worked widely across Australia, New Zealand and many ethnic groups.

• He is now Uniting Church Chaplain at the University of Western Australia. He has held many roles in church and community. He has recently been co-convenor of Bringing Them Home Committee  (WA) and a member of the Uniting Church Assembly Mission & Evangelism Network (AMEN).

Robbo loves friendship, family and comunity. Margaret has put up with him for forty years, and his three adult children have never ever scorned his dad-jokes!

• Ian’s academic degrees are: Doctor of Philosophy (CSU), Master of Arts (Oxon), Bachelor of Arts (UWA). Yep, he's a reverend doctor!
